Glitter Card Making Techniques - use that glitter hiding in your Craft Stash!

Updated: May 4

✨ Today's card making techniques all involve Glitter. ✨ Simple ways to use glitter and encapsulate it on your handmade greeting cards or mixed media projects.

This video shows at least 5 ways you can encapsulate your glitter: using double sided tape or sheets, wax or hot glue, PVA glue or Glossy accents (or Tonic Nuvo drops), paint mediums or pastes, and even in heat embossing powders. There's plenty of ideas to spark your creativity and use what you have in your Craft Stash!

I have lots of tips and tricks to keep the glitter under control while you use it too!

Double Sided Tape to make lines

Double sided sheets or tape on die cut words, letters or shapes

Using different colours of glitter on one shape plus Glitter Wax Seal and glitter with wax 'drops'

Glossy Accents with Glitter on die-cut butterflies plus mixed glitter on die cut word

I used the Crafter's Companion stencil that was part of the free gift with Creative Stamping Magazine issue 132 for all of the next cards, which is still available on CraftStash (affiliate link at no cost to you):

PVA Glue through a stencil plus Glitter in Wax Seal

Acrylic Effect Paste through a stencil plus wax 'drops' with glitter

Structure Paste through a stencil plus hot glue and glitter leaves

Clear Gloss Embossing Powder and Glitter through a stencil plus hot glue and glitter seal - this also works with other colours of embossing powders

Different colours of glitter on a simple stencil - no layering stencils required.

I hope I have inspired you to go find the glitter lurking in your stash and use some of it up!
