Christmas Table DIY - Puzzle Name Cards

Today I'm making sliding puzzle name cards for your Christmas table – you could of course use these for any table settings.

No special craft equipment is needed, just a basic paper trimmer or guillotine with a ruler and pencil. Foam shaker tape makes these simple, but if you haven’t got that you can make your own from craft foam, or stack card strips together instead.

You can decorate with anything you like as long as you can cut it up when you have finished.

Today I am using all imperial (inches) measurements.

Measurements for a 3"x 2" name place card

Top piece 3" by 2"

Base piece 3" by 4" scored and folded in half at the 2" mark

Base strips, cut 3 3/4" by 3"

Piece strips, cut 2 1/2" by 3"

Base piece marked at 1" to add base strip of foam tape in the centre and then one top and one bottom

Piece strips are cut into 1" pieces AFTER using to place base strips on base

Top piece is cut into 1" squares

My foam tape for all the strips was about 2mm deep and 5mm wide. This is just over 1/16" deep and 3/16" wide, it can be a little bigger and it will still work with these measurements, so see what you have or can cut.

None today! Use whatever you have, patterned paper, foiling, stamping, dies cuts, even stickers would work! Do whatever you love or would tie in with your table decor.

Thanks for reading!
