Today I am sharing the first of my Christmas Spinning Puzzle Cards Series focussing on circle nesting dies to make baubles and snow globes. I step up the techniques taught in my original video, so if you've never seen this type of card and want a full tutorial on how to make the basic one, please head here first:
I show you how to hide your brad, and then make smaller spinning puzzle cards so you can make tiny cards, put multiple puzzles on your card and use embossing folder backgrounds without adding bulk to your cards. Finally, I show you how to make a working Snow Globe spinning puzzle shaker card! As usual I use different card making techniques throughout: pattern paper, stamping, die-cutting, embossing etc.
Keep scrolling for more pictures of the 5 cards I made in this video....
These are perfect makes for Christmas in July 2023. They take a little time to put together, so you wouldn't want to be making them at the last minute! However, you could certainly batch make them once you have chosen your design, and they are perfect for using up all the scraps you have, especially for the hidden liner pieces that you will never see on these circle style cards. The bauble design is also a perfect as a pattern paper stash buster.
Please tag me if you share your work on social feeds, I am @handmadeinwindsorLAB on facebook, instagram and pinterest:
